It was Chinese New Year's Day on February 18th,
and we went back to Cleveland to celebrate
with Eric's family.

We got together with other relatives in the
New Year's Eve until midnight, playing Mahjong
and chit-chatting.

We took Casper along with us in the crate.
Casper got everyone's attention,
especially from 2 year old nephew Aaron.
Aaron wanted to touch Casper,
and Casper wanted to kive kisses to Aaron ...

Aaron「
Casper "Aaron, please be my friend~"
Aaron "Gao-Gao, Wow-wow, Ca-u-pa!"
Gao means "dog" in Cantonese.
Wow-wow means "puppy/doggie" in infant language :P
Aaron managed to call Casper's name somehow too.

We went to "Dim Sum" for New Year's lunch with relatives.
I've never seen the restaurant packed with that much of people!
It was our first Chinese New Year as married couple,
and we gave out money in "red envelopes" to younger
single relatives ... including Eric's twin brother!

Twin brother-in-low just kept eating. Not interested in Lion dancer.

Aaron loved the lion ... not ineterested in eating.
Trying to take a photo with his mom's cell phone.

I found many similalities in clebrating new year's day
between Chinese and Japanese cultures.
Eating lucky foods, giving away money in envelopes,
wearing new clothes.
